Chesterfield Cigarettes

Chesterfield brand is the darling of the masses; it has a good and mellow taste, has a cool smoke and is very competitively priced. This is a kind of cigarette that everyone likes and wants to taste at least once in their life. This brand of cigarette was created and distributed by Drummond Tobacco Company of St. Louis, Missouri in the United States in the year 1883. Chesterfield cigarettes then changed hands to Liggett and Meyers Tobacco Company. The brand was then sold to Philip Morris Tobacco Company (which is now under the Altria Group) in the year 1999. Even after changing hands more than once the brand still maintains its high quality and standards. This gem of a brand gets its name from the Chesterfield County in Virginia. For major part of the twentieth century Chesterfields were the most loved cigarette brand in the United States and the European Continent, but unfortunately this brand is almost non-existent in USA today. Only two varieties of Chesterfield cigarettes are available in USA: Chesterfield Red Pack Filter and Chesterfield Non-Filter.

This brand is still showing impressive sales figures in the European countries, and to satisfy its large market in these countries Chesterfield has launched both types: Filter cigarettes and Non-Filter cigarettes. The type which doesn't have a filter in them is not so popular and hence is a little hard to find. These types of cigarettes are known as Chesterfield Regular non-filter and are normally packed using white box with the logo present at the front end. Chesterfield filter cigarettes comes in many flavors, some of them are Classic Blue (Light), Chesterfield Classic Red and Classic Bronze (Ultra Light). They are also available in soft packs but the soft packs are not so popular with the smokers. Chesterfield cigarettes are packaged in a King Sized, white, flip top box with the traditional Chesterfield logo on the front of the box.
